TEHRAN -- Leader of the world'a Christian Armenians His Excellency Aram I Saturday condemned as 'unacceptable' the remarks by U.S. pastor Jerry Falwell against Islam and particularly Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Aram I in a letter to the Director of the Islamic Culture and Organization Organization Mahmoud Mohammadi-Iraqi wrote that such imprudent and uncredited remarks will obstruct the promotion of dialoge and mutual understanding.

Araqi in a letter to the world's religious leaders in early October had voiced his discontent with Fallwel's remarks.

Aram I was responding to Araqi's letter from Lebanon's Slicia Church for Armenians.

"At this critical juncture of human history, it is expected from Islam and Christianity to cooperate with each other on the basis of common values and spiritual outlooks," he wrote in the letter.

The religious leader of World Armenians further stressed that Armenians attached great significance to the importance of dialgoe between Muslims and Christians, and pledged that Armenians would struggle toward promotion of mutual understanding and cooperation between the two heavenly faiths.

The letter also calls on Muslims and Christians together to struggle toward uprooting terrorism, violence and injustice in the international arena, as evil elemtns.

Aram I further stressed that the Silicia Church still believes in maintaining a dialoge between Muslims and Christians with a view to promoting the cause of justice, peace, dignity, humane features, patience, and compromise.
